The heart is a lonely hunter
It searches far and wide
trying to find beauty in a world that’s lonely,
full of hate and dark.
It is a solitary being looking for love.
It is a lonely search,
it could last for months or years,
or a lifetime.
Sometimes the heart keeps looking
until the day it dies, but never finds,
Yet the heart goes on and never tires.
It looks for meaning in the wrong places,
leading to heartache and broken dreams…
Every heart wants love in whatever shape or form
It longs to find beauty,
and peace that the world cannot fathom…
Yes, the search is intense for the quiet truth,
the elusive love, the meaning of life.
But isn’t that what life is all about?
That there is a deeper reason for all
than meets the eye
Let our hearts never tire looking
for that which is essential….
Then and only then can we find
the true meaning of life.
