Dear Friends, I thought I would reblog this especially for friends in the Northern Hemisphere who are now in Autumn. (We in the Southern Hemisphere are always the opposite :))….I hope you enjoy this poem which is featured in my book The Forsaken Muse. I enjoyed putting the clip together. Come Before Winter My Darling
Summer love is fun, so dreamy and romantic.
But when the object of summer love is gone, the cool autumn and the gloomy cold winter can be so lonely. This is a plea for someone to come back. It can also be someone reflecting on the seasons of life, especially when one’s winter of life is approaching.
I met you in summer
When days were long and warm
Autumn has come,
Just as you were gone.
Most leaves have turned brown
There’s a few more leaves to fall,
Come before winter my darling
And make me feel warm.
……..I’m still waiting.
Poem from my book The Forsaken Muse, a book of poetry & photography.
