The Moon is one of my most favourite things in the world. The moon (which I will refer to for now as a ‘she’), inspires me to write, compose poems, or just contemplate. I have written so many pieces about her – I feel like she is my friend who always understands. So you will see me writing a lot about her. I am also called Moonlover in some art sites for obvious reasons. Here’s one little poem for you to enjoy. We got lucky in the Southern Hemisphere by having a really bright Full Moon last August. Here’s a tribute to her beauty.
How can I be so fortunate?
As to have witnessed the moon in its fullness
So glorious, she bewitches,
a beauty amidst the dark black clouds, beside the stars.
I have never seen her so big, so bright
For so many nights she has been so generous
to light the sky.
No words or images can give justice
to describe how she looks in the heavens,
She gives warmth, peace, a feeling of tranquility.
My moon lesson: Gentle repose of the soul.
